Come see some poetry in SLC.

Ok guys, I know all about it, i’m a terrible blogger, but it’s summer time, what do you want me to write about? Well, how about this: I am putting together a very last minute poetry show in Salt Lake this Friday. I know, it is super short notice, but it will be a good enough show to make it worth it. I promise. The show will be at Club Orange on 533 South 500 West in SLC.
The lineup includes Anis Mojgani, the only person to ever win the National Poetry Slam more than once; Buddy Wakefield, two-time Individual World Poetry Slam Winner and opener for Grammy winner, Ani Difranco; Shira Erlichman, a Pushcart prize nominee; and Derrick Brown, an extraordinary poet that has performed at over 1, 300 venues including “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” La Sorbonne in Paris and CBGB’s in New York.
If you don’t believe me then there are other people that think they’re cool, even Forbes! Check out this article

It’s very cool I think, and let’s face it, either you’ll have just another bar night where you get mashed and don’t remember it, or you’ll have a bar night doing something new at a very cool bar with amazing artists knocking your socks of with nothing but carefully placed words. Sounds like a bit more fun to me!
So go to my little Facebook page that I made for it, click the “i’m gonna go have fun with awesome people on friday” button, and I’ll see you there.
