Building a Skyscraper.
I just (with a little help from my friends) built the coolest thing that I own… A tall bike!! I was cruising down the street and saw an old mtn. bike sitting outside of my local bike shop with a ‘free; needs work’ sign on it. So naturally I take it home for some ‘work’. Straightaway after that I head to my local second-hand store and find another bike that is about the same size for dirty cheap, bring it home and hop on the phone to some friends with far more welding knowledge than myself. Two days later we’re priming, painting, and building! What came of it is one of the most fun things that I own: a bike that is double height, so you are sitting up above all of the traffic (not to mention other bikers…) Single speed, single brake, double bike.
